The name ‘Point Crxss’ pays homage to the original name given to this area by Spanish explorer Álvaro de Mendana in 1568,
representing a place where different cultures, flavors, and ideas intersect.

The Point Crxss Legacy

The name "Point Crxss" represents more than just a location—it embodies a rich history dating back to 1568 when Spanish explorer Álvaro de Mendaña first charted this area. This historical name was later altered to "Point Cruz" during the mid-20th century with the establishment of the international port facility. We chose this name to symbolize the intersection of different cultures, flavors, and ideas. "Point Crxss" represents a place of meeting, where diverse paths come together—just as we blend traditional Solomon Islands cuisine with modern, innovative dining experiences. It reflects our commitment to offering a space where everyone—from locals to tourists—can feel welcome, comfortable, and valued.
